Welcome to my website! My name is Torey Henderson, before looking at my work, I’ll tell you a little bit about me.
Currently, I am at Oklahoma State University - Tulsa for my Master of Science, Health Care Administration (HCA). I graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, studying Public Relations from the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. While at the University of Oklahoma, one of the many experiences that left a lasting impact on me was the opportunity to study abroad. I was able to go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Arezzo, Italy. In Brazil, I learned about inequality and environmental problems. In Italy, I learned about renaissance art history, language and culture. You’ll see more about this throughout my website, these experiences left a large impact on me, especially as I looked at what I wanted to pursue after graduating.
As previously said, I am at OSU-Tulsa studying for my HCA. I have always had an interest in healthcare but brushed it to the side and put my focus on other aspects before I realized that it was exactly what I wanted to do. A couple of reasons that I chose to go into Health Care Administration is my experience of being a primary caretaker to my twin sister, who has cerebral palsy and having a parent in healthcare, I grew up around a hospital. Both are a part of my why for wanting to pursue this degree; another reason is that I have a genuine interest in the healthcare field in the US and globally.
